Service-area address review

Google Business Profile suspended after service-area or address issues

For plumbers, cleaners, landscapers, locksmiths, and other service-area operators, the appeal work usually starts with one question: do the profile address, hidden-address setting, service area, website, and documents tell a consistent story?

What to reconcile first

  • Whether customers visit the business address or the business travels to customers.
  • Whether the displayed address setting matches the actual customer-facing model.
  • Whether service areas are specific, current, and reflected on the business website.
  • Whether official documents support the business identity and operational location.

What to avoid in the appeal

  • Changing profile fields repeatedly while preparing evidence.
  • Using a mailing address as if customers visit there when they do not.
  • Listing broad service areas that the business cannot actually serve.
  • Submitting documents that conflict with the profile facts.

Google says service-area businesses visit or deliver to customers directly but do not serve customers at their business address, and that businesses that do not serve customers at their address should remove the address from the profile. Sources: Google service-area help and Google address help.
